Best time EVER!!! I'm still wet but BEST TIME EVER! Ed thanks you and Paul who would be the only guys I know that would go to the drive-in in the rain! When do we go next?
Oh man. My feet will be cold until mid-June, but Martha is right - it was the best time!!!
Thanks to Andy, we had a tarp to sit and cook under, so we cooked dogs/brats at the beginning of the first movie and Andy and I sat outside under the tarp in 41 degrees for the whole first movie - hard core! It was so far outside the bounds of mental and physical health that I can't believe such mature and rational people as us did it, but it was awesome.
Iron Man is huge fun; I'm going to see it again tonight (inside). Drillbit Taylor far exceeded expectations, because some permutation of the Judd Apatow/Seth Rogan crowd was involved. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised by a movie for a change.
The night was about endurance and the experience rather than ease and comfort per se, but the movie lineup was good and we laughed pretty much non-stop for over an hour while we were trying to get the tarp set up, so, if laughter is the best medicine, hopefully that warded off colds, flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc.

So how'd it turn out? Wade and I stayed nice and warm and DRY-- inside. :) Next time rain's not forecasted, we'll be there!

Farf
Is it okay that the movie was only almost as entertaining as watching the set-up, in the rain of the shelter?
Paul, that was the best hotdog ever! What was in it?
Thanks for tolerating Ohana.

Oh yeah, there was a dog there too. All that did was make it more fun. We are proud to be a multi-species all-weather drive-in movie club.
So sad to miss the fun! Wish I had read the blog earlier. Keep us in the loop for next time!
